Masons give an early Christmas gift to local hospital Foundation

On December 23rd, Port Elgin Masonic Lodge #429 gave Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation an early Christmas gift.

                                    (L) Mike Harley, Thom Boulding, Ken Cunningham and Barry Follett

The Lodge donated $8,000 that is to go toward the much-needed new X-ray machine.  Originally, the donation was to be spread over five years but the Masons decided that a lump sum would be put to better use as part of the X-ray fundraising effort.

“These are very challenging times,” said Mason Thom Boulding, “so we thought the community needed this donation as a whole now and we wanted to be there to help.”
