216 golfers turn out for memorial tournament
Some 216 golfers turned out for a Charity Golf Tournament on July 28th in remembrance of Art Van Stanten at Saugeen Golf Club with another 60 coming out for dinner.
Van Stanten died suddenly of a massive heart attack in October at the age of 56 . A long-time (generational) summer resident in Southampton, he is remembered by his wife Donna and children Jessica and her husband Phil Smit, Blake and Cole; his father John; and by his cherished grandson Ethan Smit.
He is also be lovingly remembered by his brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews and many friends.
The memorial tournament raised funds that were donated to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
