On Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 23) at approximately 1:30 p.m., Saugeen Shores first responders were called out to a single vehicle,(motorcycle) accident.
On Bruce County Rd. 3 at Hwy. 21 (Sparks Corner) a motorcycle appeared to lose control on the sharp corner that approaches the stop sign.
The motorcycle left the road and ended up in the grass and water-filled ditch.
“When we get a call that there is a motorcycle accident, we never know what to expect,” said Fire Chief Phil Eagleson who was on-site. “Thankfully, this one wasn’t too serious.”
The motorcycle sustained damage and the rider was taken to Saugeen Memorial Hospital in Southampton with undetermined injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
