Multi-home project approved for Port Elgin

Port Elgin is about to get another multi-home residential unit following he Site Plan application for 768 Arlington Street in Port Elgin.

The numbered company, 1066517 Ontario Inc. has proposed the construction of a 14-unit stacked townhouse/apartment building at the northwest corner of the intersection of Arlington and River Streets in Port Elgin.

Also proposed are 18 parking spaces to the north of the proposed building with access from Arlington Street along with one space for every four units for visitor parking and one accessible parking space.

A staff report also requested that Council approve an additional $15,000 + HST in the 2025 Budget for the River Street sidewalk extension, funded by the Development Charges (DCs) Reserve.

Each area of the Town has been examined to ensure in-fill development addresses Saugeen Shores’ small-town charm.
