The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that its new Community Partnerships program has a proud new member.
Gerard Buckley is a Mortgage Agent with Mortgage Wellness with offices in Port Elgin, Owen Sound, Collingwood and Toronto and has a long-standing history of philanthropic giving in the communities in which he works. He has committed to donating $200 to the Hospital Foundation for every professionally referred mortgage to his Port Elgin office
Over the years Gerard and his wife, Mary MacDonald have generously supported organizations such as the YMCA, Home Horizons, Blue Mountain Village Foundation, the Army Cadet League of Canada, Developing Scholars and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
“You only have to walk through the doors once to understand why Saugeen Memorial Hospital is such a vital service to the community. I believe we should support the communities where we live and work and giving to the Hospital Foundation ensures we have the vital health cares needs that our community demands into the next century” said Gerard.
Mary Jo Arnett, Board Chair stated “We are so appreciative of this generous commitment from Gerard. It is always wonderful when local businesses show support for the Hospital Foundation. We couldn’t achieve half of what we do without the support of the people and businesses in our community.”
The Community Partnerships program allows local businesses to donate to the Foundation through designating a portion of sales throughout the year or during a designated time. Each Community Partnership is completely customizable and unique to the business owner.
