On November 10th, (2025) the ladies of the St. John’s Anglican Church attended the Police Station to present a cheque of $2,000 in support of the Saugeen Shores Police Service Benevolence Fund.
Members of the church organize an annual Antique and Collectables show which was held this year at the Southampton Coliseum. Proceeds from the show are distributed among various charities within the community.
The Benevolence Fund, originally initiated by Southampton Rotary in 2021 in partnership with Saugeen Shores Police, helps officers, when they come in contact with people in need, to provide items such as new clothing, a hot meal or coffee, motel rooms, a backpack filled with essential items and other necessities as needed.
