Welcome to fall! This is the busiest time of the year for us.
Pumpkinfest is here already. We have our Pumpkinfest Meat Draw on Saturday, October 5th starting at 4:00 pm. and the Artisan Craft Show is the main hall. Not too early to start your Christmas shopping.
Norma Dudgeon has already been preparing for the Remembrance Day events on November 11th. Rhonda has been preparing for the Poppy Ad-Mail Campaign and the Remembrance Day Poster and Literary competition. We will require a lot of volunteers to help make these events successful; so if you have some free time to volunteer please come to the Branch for details or email Norma and Rhonda to find out more and how you can help.
More details in this edition are about requesting volunteers to canvass during the Poppy Campaign. Contact Rhonda to schedule your times and location. Our Legion does a tremendous amount of good for not only our veterans but also our community.
All the work is done by volunteers and without them our ability to help the community and veterans goes down dramatically. Please come in and ask what you can do to help … you do not have to be a Legion member to help your community.
