Rail Trail Memorial Garden gets a ‘facelift’ clean-up

There is an addage that “more hands make light work” and Southport Horticulture Society lived up to the saying as members came out to ‘spruce up’ the Rail Trail Memorial Garden in Southampton.

The group took part in a general all-round clean-up and restoring of the Nancy Forsythe Memorial Garden

“The group’s enthusiasm and energy are truly an inspiration,” says Joyce Scammell, a founding member and past President of the Rail Trail Association.  “Words cannot express what it means to all of us who love and appreciate the Rail Trail.”

In the park area, there is also a wide variety of trees that have been planted in memoriam of family members and as living legacies.
