Rona and Rotary working together

The parent company of the Southampton RONA Hardware Store has confirmed the nomination of the Rotary Club of Southampton as a Community Hero for 2021.

Southampton Rotary Club is honoured to receive this recognition from a major North American business.

Donations made to Southampton Rotary at the checkout of the Southampton Rona Hardware Store will be matched by Lowe’s Canada on the basis of 50% of ALL donations received up to $2,000 per store throughout September.

Susan Macdonald, Club President, said that “Our Rotary Club is absolutely thrilled and honoured to be selected for the Southampton Rona’s annual Hero Campaign. Our Club tries to “Buy Local” and we’ve developed a wonderful relationship with the staff and management of our Rona store. They’re our go-to for garden supplies to maintain Perkin’s Park and for building supplies to maintain Rotary Hall and other Rotary projects in our community. Our Rona store supports us with donations for fundraisers such as our Golf Tournament and Auctions. It’s stores such as Rona that help us help our community of Southampton. Thank you to Andy and his Team for all they do to support our community.“

“We are excited to support the Rotary Club of Southampton as part of the Lowe’s Canada Heroes campaign and to actively contribute to building stronger communities,” says Andy Johnson, Branch Manager of Southampton RONA.
