The Rotary Club of Saugeen Shores held its annual ‘hand-over’ event to the new incoming President on July 28th (2025).
This year’s President, lawyer Tina Blair of Port Elgin, is the first woman elected to the position for the club since its inception in 2021.
While the hand-over was the highlight of the meeting, Pat Caven representing International Services committee and Rotary International, also explained the value and process of how funds can be donated to Rotary International to gain maximum support through the Global Grant project.
At the end of the meeting, it was time for the official ‘hand-over’ from past-President Addison Ziegler to newly elected President, Tina Blair. While some hand-overs include a gavel, Ziegler chose to ceremonially hand over his Star Trek laser sword … in theory only.
