Rotary Club of Saugeen Shores gives Rotary VIPS a tour of new Lamont Sports Park

The Rotary Club of Saugeen Shores had several reasons to celebrate on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022.

The Club welcomed District Governor Mike Chaffee, Assistant District Governor Sonja Glass and inducted another new member, Doug Thomas.

The event also recognized the local Rotary Club’s commitment of $100,000 toward the new Lamont Sports Park phase 2.

Co-Chair of the Park fundraising committee and Saugeen Shores Vice-deputy Mayor, Mike Myatt, conducted a personal tour of Lamont Sports Park for the Rotary guests.

Michigan Rotary District Governor, Mike Chaffee, who played first base in baseball and was familiar with ball facilities said that he was very impressed with the Lamont park.  “This is quite incredible especially given the size of the community population and what they have contributed toward it.”
