The Rotary Club of Southampton was delighted to host Rotary District 6330 Governor Jeff Ferweda for his official visit last month. His visit was both inspiring and energizing — reminding members and guests alike of the global impact Rotary achieves through local service.

Governor Ferweda began his evening with a meeting at Chantry Breezes, where he met with the Club’s Board of Directors to learn more about Southampton Rotary’s many community and international initiatives. He then joined the full club meeting at Rotary Hall, where guests enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Little Black Dog Catering before hearing his address.
In his presentation, Jeff shared the District’s vision for the Rotary year ahead using tagline “Unite for Good” emphasizing the importance of Rotary’s work not just across the world, but right here in our local communities. He spoke about the power of purpose — encouraging everyone in attendance to reflect on their own “Why” — the personal reason they choose to serve and remain connected through Rotary.
“Understanding our ‘Why’ helps us stay motivated and united,” Jeff noted. “Because when we know why we serve, everything we do becomes more meaningful.”
The evening was a true celebration of fellowship, community spirit, and the shared values that drive Rotary — Service Above Self, friendship, and making a lasting impact both locally and globally.
To mark the Governor’s visit, the Club presented a $4,500 donation to The Rotary Foundation, along with a separate $100 contribution made in his name, accompanied by a commemorative set of Southampton Rotary coasters.
