Erin Little, who heads up the Liv-A-Little Foundation with her husband Chad, accepted the donation.  The couple’s daughter Olivia was diagnosed with Cystinosis in early childhood and the family has since fundraised every year with proceeds going toward research for a cure.

In this time of COVID-19, the Liv-A-Little Foundation like many others, is having a difficult time raising funds.  In 2019, the Men’s and Ladies’ slo-pitch ball leagues of Saugeen Shores went to bat for children’s charities, including Liv-A-Little however, ball too has been cancelled due to the pandemic.

“We are so grateful for the community support that we have received over the years,” says Erin Little.  “From those who came out to our annual golf tournament each year to those who bought purple bows in our ‘Paint the Town Purple’ campaign.  Every dollar raised through our fundraising events, goes toward research to find a cure because this disease receives no government funding.  So, we want to thank everyone who has given their support in this fight.”
