The holiday season is upon us, and the Saugeen Shores Rotary invites everyone to join the festive spirit at the 2024 Santa Claus Parades, celebrating this year’s theme, “Christmas Around the World.”
Port Elgin Parade:
When: Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 7:00 PM Route: Goderich Street, from Elgin Street (The Port Elgin Library) to Ivings Dr. (The Giant Tiger) Special Features: A hot chocolate and cookie station at Coulter Parkette
Southampton Parade:
When: Friday, December 6, 2024, at 7:00 PM Route: High Street, from Victoria St. (Fairy Lake) to Grosvenor St. (The Walker House) Special Features: A hot chocolate and cookie station at the Southampton Town Hall
Both parades will showcase the creativity and charm of our community, with floats representing diverse holiday traditions from around the globe. Families can enjoy the warmth of seasonal treats while celebrating the magic of the season.
Supporting Those in Need: In the spirit of giving, additional funds raised during the parades will be donated to our local food banks, ensuring everyone in our community can share in the joy of the holidays.
In addition, the United Way is asking for new socks to be donated as winter begins.
