2022 will also see a change in leadership with Michelle Kay-Scott (Edward Jones) accepting the two-year appointment as SSCC President, “I am excited to take on the role of President for the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce. I have big shoes to fill. Our past President, Steve Harris (Ristorante Rosina), was instrumental in pivoting Chamber operations and programs as we adapted to the ongoing pandemic. Our Board will continue connecting businesses to opportunities that will empower and cultivate their success.”

Many local businesses continue to experience impacts of the pandemic. The SSCC Board, staff and committee volunteers will be focusing on economic recovery efforts, advocacy, networking events, sharing information on resources and providing cost saving benefits. “Local businesses are responsible for providing employment, products and services in our community. The Saugeen Shores community has benefited greatly from local business’ support and sacrifices during the pandemic. We encourage residents to support them at every opportunity possible,” explains Michelle Kay-Scott. “You can show your support by purchasing gift cards, rescheduling appointments, sharing your favourite places to shop on social media, leaving a rating or review, and by encouraging your friends and family to do the same.”
