Three Sheets Brewing in Port Elgin was a happening place on December 14th
(2024).
It was the second annual GIV’er gift giving and fundraiser in support of the Bruce County Dorrell Young Christmas Program.
There was live music, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle and the opportunity to give much-needed Christmas gifts for all ages.
The Dorrell Young Christmas Program encourages donations with the theme: “Something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read.”
There was also a buffet of delectably delicious hors d’oeuvres catered by Karin Friis and entertainment that included artist, Faith Rooyakkers.
“The ‘Cause We Can’ FUNdraiser helps to sponsor families through the Bruce County Dorrell Young program,” said Steve Dunk, a Board Member of the Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey. “There were 500 families in need and our goal was to help at least four of those families through the program.”
Dunk said that their goal had been not only reached but that everything raised at the Three Sheets Brewing event was over and above what they had anticipate. “It’s amazing how supportive this community is.”
