
The Town of Saugeen Shores is offering a second chance for residents to acquire new trees.
A tree sale is currently being held with a variety of Maple trees available at a subsidized price of $160 each.
Port Elgin Ward Councillor Bud Halpin says he would like to trees replaced on Green, Mill, Elgin and Market Streets where some residents have lost century-old trees.
“If anyone needs help planting, I will come out and help plant,” says Halpin. “The ordering portal closes on Friday, so I encourage everyone to get your order in now.”

According to Halpin, the Town of Saugeen Shores is on track to plant approximately 800 new trees in 2023.
