Snow Squall Warning – January 21, 2021

Long-lived snow squalls are expected. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, and snow will rapidly accumulate.

Snow squalls will intermittently affect the area until Saturday night.

Snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are possible today. Even heavier snowfall amounts in the 15 to 25 cm range are possible tonight, particularly over Southern Bruce County. On Saturday, an additional 15 cm of snowfall is possible.

Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Road closures are likely.
