It is an exciting project for the community as the Southampton Care Centre, owned by Jarlette Health Services, is set to expand with a new building to meet the growing needs of a senior demographic.
The project is to construct a new long term care (LTC) home of 160 beds and 85 senior apartments to be located on Grey Street in Southampton.
The company has begun its search (Request for Proposal – RFP) for a general contractor and trades that include mechanical and electrical.
“We anticipate starting construction in June,” says Project Manager Bob Campbell. “It’s going to be a wonderful facility and one of many that are needed in the province.”
