Sr. Ryder Cup Championship comes to Saugeen Shores

For the first time since its inception in 1999, the Senior Ryder Cup Golf Championship has moved away from the QEW and 401 corridors to be held in Saugeen Shores on September 14th at the Saugeen Golf and Country Club, with a practice round on the September 13th.

Following 900+ regular season and playoff matches, 16 teams and 128 players have qualified for play in the Senior Ryder Cup Championship representing an area that includes all of southern Ontario, parts of eastern and northern Ontario and parts of Michigan and New York states.

The local clubs include BlackHorse near Lucknow, Seaforth, Listowel, Pike Lake near Mount Forest, Legacy Ridge in Owen Sound, Ainsdale in Kincardine and Saugeen, with defending Senior Ryder Cup champion, Guelph’s Cutten Fields Golf Club.

The Senior Ryder Cup Championship hosts the best senior age male golfers in Ontario in a competitive team format.
