On Friday, October 25th, two men were observed burying two E-Bikes in a wooded area in Port Elgin.
Officers attended, however the suspects fled prior to police arrival. The bikes were recovered by officers and determined that they were recently reported stolen.
On Sunday, October 27th at 7:57 a.m., two men acting in a suspicious manner were reported leaving a path way and walking into a wooded area. Officers arrived and located both men secluded in the wooded area which was difficult to access.
Police determined that both men matched the description of the suspects who were reported to be burying the bikes.
Both men were placed under arrest and charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
They were transported to the station and released with a court date.
