Summer has started at last and, in Southampton, lawn bowling is ‘where it’s at’ on Friday nights at the Saugeen Shores Lawn Bowling club on Victoria Street.
Lawn Bowling is undergoing a revival, especially in Southampton, where the Friday night fun league, ‘Bowl and Brews’ is keeping the history of lawn bowls alive.
On Friday evening, June 28th, the first ‘official’ Bowl and Brews of the summer was a lively fun place to be with a band, bowling and brews (cash bar).

Bowlers of all ages and ability took to the greens, some for the first time who were welcomed and coached by the more experienced.
New members are welcome to come out and “Give It A Try” at the Southampton Bowling (Bowls) Greens in Southampton on Victoria Street.
Running every Friday evening through to August 30th, gates open at 6:00 p.m. and admission is only $10 for non-members.
