Tuesday morning curlers had to leave the ice sooner than expected when there was a suspected ammonia leak at the Southampton Coliseum Annex (curling rink).
Saugeen Shores Fire Service were also on-site and barricades were put up around the Southampton Coliseum closing the parking lot to the public.
A technician was called in to evaluate the situation and make any needed repairs. At the end of the day, the barricades were removed and the Coliseum returned to normal activities.
According to Saugeen Shores Police there was no indication that levels were high enough to affect public health but all precautions were taken.
