Traffic stop results in arrest

At approximately 7:00 p.m. on January 13th, 2024 Saugeen Shores Police conducted a traffic stop in the Town of Port Elgin.
It was quickly determined that the driver had outstanding warrants from the province of PEI, as well as the OPP. The driver also had a suspended drivers licence.
They were placed under arrest without incident. A search incident to arrest resulted in the seizure of a small amount of crystal methamphetamine.
Two passengers of the motor vehicle were detained and released unconditionally.
The vehicle was towed from the roadway as it was obstructing traffic.
Appropriate charges were laid.
