For four summers, a group of young entrepreneurs have raised funds for the local hospital in Southampton (Saugeen Shores) with their lemonade stand.
“We have never urged or encouraged them to do it,” says Sophie Caudle. “They just go ahead on their own.”
This year, besides lemonade, they added ‘ice cream on fresh baked cookies’ with the result that they raised $275.

To add to the total, Annette Shorey, emptied her piggy bank and donated an additional $174.
“We appreciate every donation we receive,” says Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Executive Director, Tracy Murray. “All money raised goes to much-needed equipment.”
“We also love to see the life lessons that these young people are learning,” added Muray.
