Only three days remain to view the nationally touring collection of ‘Homage’ at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in Southampton (Saugeen Shores) as it prepares to leave on September 1st.
‘Homage‘ is a collection of framed neckpieces created as a celebration and tribute to incredible Canadian women throughout the ages and across the country. They were, and are, women in a wide range of professions who have made a difference to society – mothers and artists; businesswomen and philanthropists; actors and athletes, inventors and scientists.
Created by renowned metal artist Don Stuart, C.M., O.Ont, RCA, the necklaces are accompanied by sketches and short biographies. This exhibition, after showings from Yukon to Nova Scotia, offers visitors a last opportunity to explore these personal histories from fresh perspectives.
