Southampton (Saugeen Shores) was a beehive of activity on the August long weekend with the first Southampton Arts Festival.
The collaboration included the annual Shoreline Artists ‘Art on the Fence’ held at Chantry Breezes B&B, the Bruce County Playhouse professional live theatre production of Naked Radio, Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre’s Indigenous crafts and the Southampton Arts Centre’s ’50 Little Masterpieces’.
The ’50 Little Masterpieces’ event was a fun evening at the Southampton Arts Centre Gallery where art patrons, who purchased a ‘premium’ ticket, were able to choose an original art piece before learning the artist’s name. It was also an opportunity to meet the artists as many were in attendance.

Sean Kuntz chose a painting not only for himself but for three others who were unable to attend.
Everyone who purchased a ‘premium’ ticket took home an original 10″ x 10″ piece of work.
