Clackers were clacking and it was a fun time for both kids and adults at the recent opening of the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre’s newest exhibit True or False.
The panel was made up of kids from the audience, exhibit sponsor Ontario Power Generation’s (OPG) Kaitlyn Neville and Bruce County Warden Chris Peabody. Among the questions asked by host sponsor radio 101.7 the One’s Jason Hughes were:
Touching a toad will give you warts…
We produce more ear wax when we are stressed…
Eating cheese at the end of a meal will prevent cavities…
The peanut is used to make dynamite….
For each right answer, panel participants received a colourful lei/garland.
The travelling exhibit from Sherbrooke Museum of Nature and Science (QC) tests your knowledge on a wide range of topics where you have to sort out the true facts from false ones. Each station features a variety of ‘facts’ where you sort out is each ‘True or False’?

The truth won’t be obvious! You’ll need to seek it out through pictures, videos and demonstrations. Still skeptical? Come and see the exhibit for yourself!
The exhibit was produced by Sherbrooke Museum of Nature and Science with contributions by Heritage Canada, Jardin des animaux, and AMGEN.
Proudly presented by Ontario Power Generation; Media partner 101.7 the One, the exhibit runs until September 2nd at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.
