The Saugeen Shores Men’s PROBUS club, consisting primarily of retirees, recently received a survey from a senior student researcher at McMaster University who is currently working on a project aimed at advancing pain education for older adults.
Undergraduate Senior Research Student, Hannah Prins, explains that the research is focused on understanding the unique pain experiences and educational needs of seniors, with the goal of developing more effective pain management strategies.
“We are conducting a survey to gather valuable insights from older adults, and I am reaching out to request your assistance (Probus) in distributing this survey. My grandmother is a member of Probus in the GTA and so your club’s participation would be incredibly valuable in ensuring that our research reflects a diverse range of experiences and perspectives across Canada,” says student Hannah Prins.
“We would greatly appreciate your sharing this survey link and, if there are any upcoming meetings or events in Saugeen Shores where we could present our research and invite participation, we would be more than happy to arrange that,” adds Prins.
The survey is designed to be straightforward and respectful of participants’ time and takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. It can be accessed online at the following link: https://painmovementresearch.healthsci.mcmaster.ca/paineducation/
