EarlyON Paisley is on the move

Bruce County is excited to share that EarlyON Paisley will be moving to the Paisley Community Centre Hall, located at 391 Queen Street, in the heart of the downtown! This change in location is necessary as our current location at Paisley Central School is needed to support the school’s growing student population.

Starting on Thursday, August 8, 2024, EarlyON programs will be offered on Thursday mornings at the Paisley Community Centre Hall. The program space can be accessed by stairs or elevator.

“‘Bruce County’s EarlyON Child and Family Centres provide high quality, free programs for children newborn to age 6 and their families where they can learn, grow, receive support, meet new people, and connect – together. Programs offered at this new location will include Adventures in Play, Active Explorers, Little Explorers Ramp & Roll, Little Counters, and more!” said Tina Metcalfe, Director of Human Services.

New Location Fun Facts!

  • Larger space!
  • The newly refreshed library is next door to the community hall.
  • Mary Cumming Park is located just off nearby Ross Street and on occasion will lend itself to hybrid indoor/outdoor programs. Pack a picnic snack/lunch to enjoy at the park after program.
  • The Saugeen River and 3-km Dyke System are nearby, offering an opportunity for the senses! Walk along the top of the dyke to view the area from a different perspective. See and hear the force of water over the dam and splashing and flowing over rocks and spot a paddler in a canoe or kayak!
  • If you stop to enjoy the river view in early October, you may see salmon returning to spawn or perhaps you will catch a glimpse of the elusive “Saugie”!
