Southampton Foodland once again got into the Christmas spirit when it held its ‘Joy of Giving’ campaign to share with those in need.
For the month of December, customers were asked by cashiers if they wanted to add a little extra to the total on their grocery bill at time of checkout.
“Thanks to the generosity of our customers,” said owner Martino Catalano, “we are able to help our local Food Bank. With our customers, we raised $6,312 that will go to the Food Bank in the form of gift cards for groceries.”
