Saugeen Shores Minor Baseball graduate Jack Middleton has signed for his third year of college baseball with Centennial College of the OCAA.
Middleton pitched for George Brown College the past two seasons while taking his 2 year general business program. One of his coaches during the first season was Ben Anderson, now the head coach of Centennial.
Coach Anderson said he is excited about the Colts first year in the league. “We have been able to attract a lot of top-level talent for our debut season which hopefully will put us into the running for a playoff spot right away. Adding an experienced pitcher and leader like Jack Middleton to the roster can only help us get there faster.”
Jack Middleton says that Coach Anderson was one of the reasons for the move. “Ben was an assistant coach in my freshman year at George Brown. I was impressed with his professionalism both on and off the field, as well as with his desire to win. Plus being a part of the inaugural season of their baseball program is an opportunity to build a foundation for a successful program for many years to come.”
