Making Waves is all about making music.
For more than 25 years, under the direction of founder and conductor, Pat Bowers, the group of dedicated women have been coming from Kincardine to Huron-Kinloss and Port Elgin to Southampton in Bruce County for the enjoyment of singing together.
Throughout the years, they have performed a wide variety of music from the Beatles to musical theatre and folksongs, in the exquisite blend of voices of ‘barbershop style’ singing and have performed in Toronto at Roy Thompson Hall and at many local venues and events.
Last year, 2024, the group celebrated its 25th anniversary and, on Thursday, October 30th (2025), the women (with some absent due to illness) performed their second fundraiser for Faith Lutheran Church Port Elgin in appreciation for the weekly practice venue.
