The new Laboratory in the Southampton Hospital is almost finished, and the Lab is getting ready to move into its brand new space.
To facilitate the move, the Lab will close for two days next week on Tuesday, February 12th and Wednesday, February 13th.
The Lab will re-open on Thursday, February 14 in its new space, and will operate on its regular schedule from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Our ever-helpful volunteers will be onsite to direct patients to the new and improved Lab.
The new Lab will be twice as large as the previous Lab, and is the second last step in the renovations that have been ongoing in Southampton. The 10,000 square foot addition to the Emergency Department was Phase 1 of the project, and the new ER opened last year.
The final phase of this project is the new Auxiliary Gift Shop. That work is well underway, and the gift shop is expected to be finished this Spring.
