At its October 11th meeting, Saugeen Shores Council approved a conceptual design for Phase 2 of the Lamont Sports Park.
Phase 1 development of Lamont Sports Park is now complete and will be ready for full use in the spring of 2023.
The project’s Prime Consultant presented the design with input from the Phase 2 Fundraising Ad Hoc Committee.
The design includes:
- 1 full size lit and irrigated hardball diamond with players benches and 200-seat bleachers;
- 1 irrigated and lit softball diamond with players benches and bleachers;
- trail connections from the rail trail to LSP;
- additional parking spaces;
- fully accessible playground;
- batting cages, practice pitching mounds with storage building;
- 36’ x 72’ pavilion;
- washroom, storage, and canteen building;
- septic tank;
Council will review the design details at its meeting on December 12th.
