Notice of Public Meeting
Proposed Official Plan Amendment and
Zoning By-law Amendment
(Sections 22 and 34, Planning Act, 1990)
 

Take Notice that a Public Meeting will be held on December 17, 2018 at 6:30 PM in the Town of Saugeen Shores Council Chambers, 600 Tomlinson Drive, Port Elgin ON, to consider proposed changes to the Town’s Official Plan and Comprehensive Zoning By-law.

The Purpose of the proposed Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment is to update policies and mapping schedules related to the protection of the Town’s municipal drinking water sources and to assist in the implementation of the Source Protection Plan for the Saugeen, Grey Sauble, Northern Bruce Peninsula Source Protection Region.

The Effect of the proposed Source Water Protection amendments will be to assist in protection of the Town’s municipal drinking water sources from land uses which could threaten the supply of safe, potable water. Lands affected are identified within mapped source water protection areas which are identified in the Source Protection Plan.

Written comments about the proposed amendments(s) should be forwarded to same by December 10, 2018., if you want them to be included in the information provided to Council. Written comments may be submitted at any time before a decision is made by council on this matter.

Please note comments and opinions submitted on these matters, including the originator’s name and address, becomes part of the public record, may be viewed by the general public and may be published in the Planning Report and Committee Agenda.

Notification If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed Official Plan Amendment or Zoning By-Law Amendment, or of the refusal of a request to adopt the proposed Amendment, you must make a written request to the County of Bruce Planning Department at the above address.
