Applied Science.Ontario Tech recognized a $250,000 donation from Bruce Power by designating a cutting-edge lab in its Energy Research Centre (ERC) as the Bruce Power Thermalhydraulics Laboratory. The University said the generous investment by Bruce Power will have a tremendous positive impact by offering students access to advanced facilities and resources.

The ERC houses the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science’s Nuclear Engineering programs, the Centre for Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), and other energy labs and learning spaces, serving as a hub for Ontario Tech’s specialized education programs and research in geothermal, hydrogen, natural gas, nuclear, solar and wind energy technologies.
