Town seeking public input on housing through virtual Open House

Saugeen Shores is experiencing a housing shortage along with many other municipalities throughout Grey-Bruce and across Canada.

On February 9th, Bruce County held a housing forum to gain input from elected officials and regional municipal staff(s) gathered to discuss the state of housing in the area, engage in open dialogue about housing initiatives, and share possible solutions to address the housing shortage in Bruce County.

Saugeen Shores is currently in the process of preparing Residential Intensification Guidelines working in collaboration with the public to determine the types of housing that are needed while retaining the community’s “small town charm”.

A virtual Open House will be held on April 6th and the town is inviting residents to take part.  For a link to the meeting, email:  planningteam@saugeenshores.ca.
