Skaters from Saugeen Shores Skating Club continue to make their mark in the world of skating.
With a long history of more than 60 skating seasons, the Club has turned out skaters such as World Champion Barbara Underhill and Leannea Nelson who traveled with Disney on Ice shows.
Club skaters continue to achieve high standards. Yesterday, Sunday March 24th, two young skaters, Jacqueline Fenton and Sierra Martin passed their Gold Interpretive Tests at the test day held at Meaford Skating Club.
On ‘High Test’ days, Junior Silver to Diamond level tests are conducted are various clubs in the area on set dates. The test days are done in collaboration with other clubs in the area and require a certified Skate Canada Judge to perform the evaluation.
“This is a huge achievement for these young skaters,” says coach Janet Dawson.

The Club is also looking for volunteers to help behind the scenes.
