Dear Editor,
Twenty candidates have put their names forward for election in our area. Of these candidates, four have been acclaimed. The other sixteen are putting in considerable time and effort into these elections.
Municipal elections are vitally important at the local level.
Based on a cursory glance, it’s likely costing each of the candidates over $1200 out of pocket for election signs alone. These folks are putting up their signs in the early morning hours well before most of us are out of bed. They have put their vision out there for us all to see.
Please respect them and their efforts to serve us, by the simple task of voting.
