As we approach Remembrance Day, I was looking up my family history especially the line that was from Port Elgin. I came across this article, https://kincardinetimes.com/april-9th-1917-the-day-that-changed-the-history-of-canada/, which details my family.
Archie and Mary in the article are my Great Great Grandparents. The 4 sons mentioned are my great great uncles. Thank you so much for doing this article and giving me more of my family history. I am the great grandson of Mary and Archie’s daughter, Jean. She moved to Toronto (where I reside ) and married my great grandfather, John Richard Thomas, in 1920.
If any more articles or resources or even photographs exist that you can send or direct me to that would be greatly appreciated. I’ve attached a photograph from my family albums of Mary McIntyre (nee Bell) as well one of Jean.
