At the recent Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting (AGM), Southampton resident, Pat O’Connor, was elected President for the next two-year term.
O’Connor, who has been a Chamber Board member for 15 years, also has an extensive background in a long list of various volunteer positions that include: past-Chair of the Saugeen Shores Police Services Board and currently its Provincial representative, past-President of the Rotary Club of Saugeen Shores and current Board member of Huron Shores Hospice, among many others.
He is also currently Constituency Manager for Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb and has been a Benefit auctioneer for many years for organizations such as the Kidney Foundation of Canada. O’Connor also recently received the King Charles III medal for his volunteerism in addition to a Saugeen Shores Town Certificate of Recognition.
O’Connor laid out some of his plans for the Chamber during his term and is looking forward to the next year.
