Bruce County Playhouse ready for a new season of live theatre

There is nothing like live theatre and the Bruce County Playhouse Summer ’25 (BCPH) theatre program is already taking shape.

To kick off the year, BCPH is again hosting its Sunday Showcase of local talent. The series begins Sunday, January 26th at 2:00 p.m. at the Southampton Town Hall. (for those who want to take to the stage arrive at 1:30).

The Sunday Showcase is always held the last Sunday of January, February and March and is an afternoon of enjoying the talent that is in the area, in addition to confectionary snacks.

As the year begins and the plans move forward, BCPH is currently also reaching out to potential advertisers to encourage them to make a connection with theatre audiences through the programs at each production. The revenue from these ad sales is used for program printing costs but also to help with the kick-off of the summer season as there are a number of upfront pre-season expenses that require funding.

“We are certainly appreciative of our loyal past sponsors and anyone else who wishes to take advantage of this advertising opportunity,” says Leslie McNamara, Promotional Director. “If you have a business or know anyone who may want to support live theatre through advertising, please contact me, leslie.mcnamarabcp@gmail.com by February 15th. “It’s going to be another exciting year for live theatre in Saugeen Shores.”
