Tara is the only Fall Fair in the region and, perhaps, all of southwestern Ontario, that holds its fair in the middle of the week on Tuesday and Wednesday. The reason is so that the local elementary school students can be part of the annual Parade. Young people from the various 4H clubs also participate with the show judging of their cattle.

This is a Fall Fair that encourages young rural students to participate and, after 161 years, it is a fair that retains its rural culture and agricultural beginnings.
