
Since 2018, Gran Fondo Lake Huron has welcomed thousands of riders, volunteers, and donors, all coming together with one shared goal: to advance quality healthcare close to home. This isn’t a race, it’s a ride for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a first-time rider, there’s a route for you.
Choose from multiple distances and enjoy scenic routes along the stunning shore of Lake Huron. After the ride, celebrate your impact with a picnic-style BBQ lunch, live music, and awards recognizing top fundraisers and teams.
With no government funding when it comes to hospital equipment needs, to date, riders and supporters have raised over $1.9 million to support the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation, helping fund a CT scanner, an upgraded mammography suite, the new Mental Health and Wellness Centre, and so much more. Every donation helps fund essential tools and care across the region
Over 140 volunteers are needed to bring this event to life and every helping hand matters. From set-up to cheering stations, volunteer support ensures a smooth and inspiring event.
This year, a 50 km ride has been added, the perfect middle ground between the 30 km and 75 km routes! That brings the Gran Fondo to SEVEN rides, with the main rides rolling out on Saturday, August 16th, and including the always-popular 1km Kid’s Ride on Sunday at the Plex in Port Elgin.
Starting and finishing in beautiful Southampton, Ontario, Gran Fondo Lake Huron welcomes cyclists of all levels and visitors who simply want to be part of the weekend experience.
