Letter to the editor
This month I had some contact with our health care system.
When I phoned to arrange a chest Xray, I was given an appointment the next day. The Xray took 15 minutes. Then I had a blood test that took all of 20 minutes. For the above two visits I walked to the hospital.
Later in the month I had a bone scan in Owen Sound. Later that day, I had a doctor’s appointment to discuss the results of my tests. By that time, he had already received the results of my morning bone scan.
Given that I only have minor issues, it was recommended that I only take supplements. Other doctors, other than Dr. Khan, could have suggested that I take drugs.
Where else in the world would I receive such speedy effective service!
