Bruce County is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda White as the new County Clerk, effective July 11, 2022.
As a member of the Office of the CAO, Linda will be responsible for performing the statutory duties assigned from the Municipal Act, other related Acts and Regulations of the Legislature, and the County By-laws. She will also oversee the overall management and direction of the Legislative Division of the County and is also responsible for overseeing the County’s records management and accessibility programs.
Under Linda’s leadership, the Legislative Division will:
- Ensure all By-laws and other Council related legal documents and instructions are developed and implemented in accordance with legislation.
- Provide training, leadership, and support to County staff regarding implementation and management of the Records Management Program.
- Develop and maintain the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan according to municipal and provincial standards, ensuring that the organization is proactive in advocacy.
- Coordinate the Legislative Division budget and monitor the financial statements.
Linda White is an experienced leader with over 30 years of municipal experience. She has held various roles in the Town of Saugeen Shores and the former Township of Saugeen. Linda has a wealth of knowledge and experience with council meeting management, records management, public sector legislation, and legal matters.
