Whispers of kindness go a long way

At the recent Police Service Auxiliary Food Drive with the help of regular officers at Rowland’s Independent Grocer in Port Elgin on December 21st, Santa learned that a local woman did not have food for Christmas.

He mentioned this to one of the Auxiliary officers who promptly paid for a turkey.

Santa then told Diane Thorne, Volunteer Co-ordinator of the Food Bank about the situation and the problem was solved.

Groceries were loaded into Santa’s ‘trunk’ and he and the Auxiliary officer hand-delivered them.
