Home #5: The Shular/D’Angelo Home
17 Westlinks Drive, Port Elgin
Kaitlyn Shular – local Interior Design Professional – along with her boyfriend Blake D’Angelo built their first home together during the pandemic in 2021. It gave them the perfect project to concentrate on when many things were feeling bleak.
Kaitlyn finally got to create a home for her own little family (two Yorkie babies name Jack and Will along with Blake, of course) after years of helping others create the spaces of their dreams.
Lots of unique things were added to the design including murals and a dark wooden, great room, ceiling. It was nice that Blake and Kaitlyn were on the exact same page when it came to creating a moody yet inviting home.
The home was built by Dennison Homes and all of the beautiful custom cabinets were designed by Kaitlyn and built by Bruce County Custom Cabinets (these two companies are now amalgamated and owned by Steve Dennison, Larry Lange and Kaitlyn).
Many finishing touches and furniture pieces in the home came from K Interiors, the home décor store in downtown Port Elgin, owned by Kaitlyn and her Mother, Susan Shular.
They cannot wait for everyone to come and see what they have created!
