Despite cold bluster winds coming across Lake Huron, more than 100 people joined hands to form a ‘circle of peace’ around the Kincardine Islamic Centre in a show of solidarity for the Muslim community following the terrorist massacre of Muslims in prayer in Christchurch, New Zealand on March 15th.
People came from as far away as Saugeen Shores and Goderich to be part of the Vigil.
Several guest speakers spoke about the terrorist attack referring to the racism and hate that it demonstrated while stressing the importance of communities standing together.
